Cast

Sheila Kinnard (Mama Eulalie) is excited to step back into the role of Mama Eulalia after 25 years! Sheila is a native of Wichita and is a self-proclaimed artist of “word and song.” A graduate of Howard University, she holds advanced degrees from Friends University and WSU. In recent years, audiences have seen her perform with the Forum Theatre and Music Theater Wichita in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Big River, A Raisin In the Sun, Showboat, Ragtime, The Sound of Music, Children of Eden, and Once On This Island. Sheila comes from a long lineage of history makers who have fought to ensure that people of color receive fairness and equality in all the arenas associated with being a citizen of the United States. She is an avid reader, writer, performer, and supporter of cultural arts. 

Robert Barnes (Tonton Julian)

Maya Mays (Ti Moune) is an actor from Indianapolis, IN. She is excited for her first out-of-state performance with the Forum Theatre. Some of her credits include Wendy Jo/ Ariel in Footloose (Beef and Boards), Janet in The Rocky Horror Show (z&z), Gerda in The Snow Queen (The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis), M in Boy Robin Hood (TCM) and many roles in independent shows around Indiana.  

Jaden Kindle (Daniel Beauxhomme) is excited for his Forum Theatre debut with the incredible cast of Once On This Island! Jaden is currently finishing his junior year at Wichita State University studying Musical Theatre and Dance. He has been seen onstage in local Wichita productions such as Rent, The Wedding Singer, A Crown Holiday Spectacular (Crown Arts Collaborative), The Color Purple (Roxy’s Downtown), Twelfth Night (Music Theatre Wichita) and Pippin (WSU). Kalene “Koko” Blanton (Andrea/Madame Armand) is excited to be playing the role of Andrea/Storyteller in Once On This Island. Most recently at the Forum she played Jovie in Elf.  She also performed in The Witches of Eastborough at Mosley Street Melodrama after making her debut there in The Hallmark Channel Christmas Melodrama.  Other recent credits include Mimi in Rent at the Crown Uptown and Shug Avery in The Color Purple at Roxy’s.  Additional favorites include MTW’s productions of Mirette, In the Heights, and Hairspray; The Wiz, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Toxic Avenger at Roxy’s; and productions of Ragtime and Mamma Mia at Great Plains Theatre.  Koko is a Wichita native, hugger, and lover of the arts.  She studied Musical Theatre at WSU.  Much love goes out to her family and her incredible support system of friends and fellow artists.

Sophia Hillman (Storyteller/Dance Captain) is elated to back on the Forum stage. She is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in dance at Wichita State University. Sophia has been seen most recently in Twelfth Night (MTW), The Color Purple (Roxy’s), and Rocky Horror (Crown). Special thanks to the Hillman fam for the faith, trust, and guidance. Levon Mathis (Storyteller) is thrilled to be returning to The Forum Theatre to perform in Once On This Island! You may have recently seen him in Elf: The Musical at The Forum. Other productions include: Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Color Purple, The Toxic Avenger, Little Shop of Horrors and The Wiz (Roxy’s Downtown); The Wedding Singer (Crown Arts Collaborative); The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Wichita State’s Empty Space); Shrek the Musical (Wichita Children’s Theatre); Frankenstein: A New Musical (Butler Community College); and a staged concert production of South Pacific at Music Theatre Wichita. Levon is from Andover, KS and graduated with his BFA in Musical Theatre from Wichita State University. He would like to thank his friends, teachers, and most importantly his family for their unconditional love and support.

Tim Hampton (Storyteller)

Jonathan Banks (Storyteller) is elated to be making his Forum debut with the amazing cast and crew of Once On This Island. He is a 19 year old freshman currently at WSU and is majoring in Musical Theatre. Previous credits include Twelfth Night (MTW), 2023 MTW Holiday Spectacular, Pippin (WSU) and many more. This show has meant a lot to him and he’s excited for Wichita to come join him on the Island!

Londynn Profit (Little Ti Moune)

Ava Johnson (Little Ti Moune) is a third grader and is really excited to be a part of the cast of Once On This Island. She was most recently seen in an Evergy commercial. She is excited to have the opportunity to be on stage. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys being in pageants, where she recently held a title for Miss Kansas Superstar and Miss Kansas Cover Girl. She also enjoys competitive cheer, competitive gymnastics, ice-skating, roller skating, track, swimming, and wall climbing.
